OUR STARK REALITY
Every day at Puffy Paws Kitty Haven, we witness heartbreaking stories of cats that have been abandoned, neglected, and abused. We see the pain and suffering in their eyes and hearts, and we are driven by a passion to give them a second chance at life. It's not an easy job, but it's a rewarding one.
Unfortunately, the current economic climate has made it extremely difficult for us to continue fulfilling our mission. Donations have decreased by 50% compared to this time last year. We are facing a daily struggle to raise the funds necessary to pay for vet care, food, and other operation expenses that are essential to our mission. We have been forced to dip into our reserves, and we fear for the future of Puffy Paws. That's why we are calling out to all the cat lovers out there to help us keep our doors open and continue providing the love and care that our kitties deserve.
The thought of having to turn away cats in need is devastating to us. We have seen firsthand the pain and suffering that these cats go through, and we know that without our help, their chances of survival are slim. Your donation can help us prevent that from happening.
The cats we have saved throughout the 16 years of Puffy Paws serve us as a reminder that even in the darkest times, there is still hope. They remind us of the power of strength and resilience and they us inspire to keep fighting for their well-being.

Dear Kitty Lovers of The World
Puffy Paws cares for kitties with feline leukemia, FIV, feral cats, unadoptable kitties, one eye cats, senior kitties, kitties that do not use their litter box, cats with neurological disorders, abused kitties and more - basically unwanted and unadoptable kitties that would be euthanized elsewhere.
The majority of the funds are donated by the Kitty Lovers throughout the world.
Just by asking for help when the kitties need it.
It cost well over $40,000.00 a month to run Puffy Paws Kitty Haven.
Funds in and funds out.
The remaining amount was donations via checks and sales from the online stores.
The priority of incoming funds are in this order: the kitties daily needs, cat food, vet care and operating expenses.
After that, funds are used for the maintenance and improvement of the Haven for the kitties, and the care and maintenance of the vehicles.
We do this just by asking for help when the kitties need it.
The unwanted & special need kitties are blessed to have a world wide family that loves them ever so much.

Puffy Paws Business Center:
The Business Business Center serves many functions and encompasses all of our business activities.
It is where The Pop Culture Antique Museum is located.
It is where our Business Center office is and where we raise the funds to keep the doors open.
Coming in 2023 it will be the home of The Kitty Cat Café Adoption Lounge.
We can not do any business at the Haven since it is in a residential neighborhood.
No business activities per code enforcement.
We can not have foot traffic at the Haven.
All the owner give ups are conducted at the Business Center.
We are not a traditional rescue and our fundraising is anything but traditional.

Being a Cat Hospice, vet care is provided from the great folks at Loving Care Animal Hospital & Englewood Animal Hospital.
If we went anywhere else, we could easily double the cost of the kitties vet care.

THE NEW STORAGE CENTER
Total Monthly Cost For Two Units: $700.00
Due On December 12th, 2022
We are no longer using U Store It as our Business Center, Storage Center, The Pop Culture Antique Museum and drop off for our weekly pallet of cat food from Phillips Pet Supply.
We are using one unit down from 15 units as our garage for the fleet of unique vehicles for repairs.
We are grateful to Bob the owner and Liz the property manager for making our stay at U Store an enjoyable and fruitful experience for Puffy Paws since 2009.
We purchase the cat food wholesale every week from Phillips Pet Supply and that is a savings of over $10,000 a year. Phillips Pet supply cannot deliver to the Haven on Lakeview Lane, since we are in a residential neighborhood.
They only delivered to commercial properties. Phillips Pet Supply cannot deliver the weekly pallet of cat food at the New Business Center at 191 S Mcall Road because there is no way we can get a pallet of cat food through the doors and store it, until we can move it to the Haven.
So we rented two storage units across the street from U Store It at Storage Kings USA. As you may know we lost all of our Storage Sheds at the Haven from Hurricane Ian.
The first unit we have is the storage of all things Puffy Paws, so we may run and rebuild the Haven and storage for the extra stock for The Pop Culture Antique Museum.
The second unit main purpose is for the weekly delivery of the pallet of cat food from Phillips and the storage of our Emergency Reserve for the operation of Puffy Paws Kitty Haven in case of an emergency.
Total Monthly Cost For Two Units; $700.00
Facebook Advertising Works For The Kitties
Each and every week, we must ask the kitty lovers of the world for help to feed the kitties, and this is why folks are seeing us in their Facebook news feed.
We have no other options without local support. The kitties daily survival depends upon the charity of the kitty lovers around the world, each and every day.
One of the main reasons we can feed the kitties is that we are boosting our fundraising posts on Facebook, Thursday and Friday every week.
Puffy Paws Kitty Haven buys the cat food once a week from the wholesaler Phillips Pet Food & Supplies
Phillips Pet Food & Supplies has been a family owned and operated business since 1938.
Phillips is the premier pet food and pet supply distributor with 12 distribution centers, and it is C.O.D every Friday.
Puffy Paws Kitty Haven saves over $10,000.00 a year by buying the kitty food wholesale instead of retail like we used to.
It will be such a disaster when Phillips Pet Food & Supply tries to deliver the food on Friday and we can not pay for it. In the contract that we signed, non-payment of goods ordered will be dealt with by cancelling the account.
The kitties cannot go on without cat food. That will be inhumane.
If we failed at raising the funds for the kitties food, there will be no other option but to close down. What choice would we have?
An entire cat hospice will be wiped out, and only painful and sad stories will be told because we could not round up the worldwide awareness and financial help that these beautiful cats deserve.
This is the only way, and the most cost effective way of creating awareness and raising funds that is working for us, week after week.
When we ask for help on Facebook, the whole world listens and helps by caring, sharing, and sending the power of light and love, praying and donating when feasible.
Just by asking for help when the kitties need it.
We have done every thing we can to get the food cost lower, yet there is no way to get around the fact that we are taking care of 200 kitties who are living life to the fullest, 24/7.
